Blessed Enough to Bless
Our newsletters nearly always end with the phrase “May you be blessed in abundance so you might bless with abandon!” I hope this phrase lingers in your thoughts; I write it to remind and encourage you. But remind and encourage you about what?
In Second Corinthians, Apostle Paul wrote, “And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that having all contentment in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” We are blessed by God so that we can in turn be a blessing in the lives of others. We are blessed so that we might help build the kingdom of God. It was this very verse that inspired the closing statement of our newsletters. With it, we hope to remind you of your blessings – big and small, temporal and enduring – and encourage you to find ways to become a blessing to others.
The Good Samaritan Health Center of Gwinnett is one of the most active clinics in the Atlanta area safety net; we exist to care for the poor and uninsured who have few other places to turn. So far this year, after logging more than 12,400 service encounters, our average fee per encounter has been $40.78 and average cost per encounter has been $80.59. Clearly, we need the financial support of donors to sustain our work. Please help us help others by making a contribution today. Your gift, a blessing to us, will most certainly and quickly become a healthy blessing to many others.
We celebrate our 12th anniversary next month and extend our thanks to the many people who have made it possible for this ministry to thrive. We have served more than 17,000 unique individuals with more than 100,000 service encounters since 2005. To God be the glory!
